Thank you for stopping by to take a peek at Portland's first non-profit Center for Domestic Arts! We are in the initial phase of applying for non-profit status and have recently had our first board meeting. It is an exciting time for all of those that are involved and we hope that you will want to become involved too.
What is the Center for Domestic Arts and Home Preservation (CDAHP)?
CDAHP's mission is to promote social equity, self sufficiency, sustainability, personal growth and positive relations with others through the education of domestic and traditional arts. We will provide arts and craft classes at affordable prices so that our entire community can benefit. Further, we will provide business and marketing training and provide a place for you to sell your creations. We strive to create both personal and local economic growth.
That's it, in a tiny nutshell, but our blog is still under construction,so please check back soon for updates! In upcoming weeks we will explain much more about our center and how you can become involved.
Creating a non-profit is very time consuming and will take many of us to work together to create our community. As we are in the initial stage, we are in need of board members, volunteers and interns. We are currently looking for:
- volunteers to help prepare our first fundraising arts auction that will be held April 23, 2011
- Grant writers
- a lawyer
- a marketing intern
- a web designer
and the following board member officers:
-President
-Secretary

We look forward to hearing from you!
